I wonder if anyone has any idea what might be wrong with my 18 mth old Whippet, Magic. Late yesterday afternoon we noticed extensive blood spots under his skin - the largest patch (which you wouldn't really call a spot) in his groin area. They are speckled across most of his body where he does not have fur and smaller patches under his fur also. He is paying not attention to the areas (no itching, biting, scratching) so do not think it is an allergy. He was only walked on lead yesterday so is not an injury of any type. The patches of blood are not raised or bumpy in any way - the skin is still perfectly smooth. He seems fine in himself although not obvious to tell if he is unwell as he is a typical whippet and doesn't like to move much unless he has to. He has recently been treated with anti-biotics for what was believed to be an infected horse fly bite which has cleared up nicely so doubtful linked but may have triggered something? He also loves to lie in front of the wood burner until he fries - could this be heat related? Anyway, it will be a trip to the vet next week but in the meantime thought worth asking here is anyone has experienced anything similar.
Please help.
Thanks,
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
